The Paradox Sports Adaptive Climbing Initiative is a training program for guides, climbing instructors, climbing wall operators, and recreational climbers to learn the skills necessary to provide high quality adaptive climbing experiences for individuals with disabilities. With support from the North Face, Paradox worked with 60+ individuals including adaptive climbers, veteran service providers, healthcare professionals, equipment manufacturers, and climbing guides to develop a comprehensive curriculum that will help you improve accessibility in your climbing programs.
Our goal is to help every climbing program in the country become accessible for people with disabilities.

Cancellation Policy: As a courtesy to others who may be on a Waiting List, please notify Paradox Sports as soon as possible if you can no longer attend the training.
Facilitators: If you are joining the two-day course as a facilitator, all attendees must have (at minimum) basic knowledge of climbing and ability to belay prior to attending the course. This helps maximize the time focused on adaptive climbing skills and equipment to make the course a valuable experience for all. If you have never climbed before, or if you are in need of a refresher, please contact your local climbing gym to take an introductory course prior to signing up for the Adaptive Climbing Initiative Facilitator Course.
Adaptive Climbers: If you are an individual with a disability looking to try out climbing then consider joining the Adaptive Climbing Community Day! We welcome all experience levels and disabilities to join for our free half day climbing event. This is a safe and supportive opportunity for people who have never tried climbing to get on the wall, as well as for experienced adaptive climbers to share insight with the newly trained facilitators about their climbing experiences and about disabilities.
