Come join us on October 2, 2022 to learn the basics for setting up and cleaning 2-bolt sport anchors! We'll be covering base-managed top rope set up, including edge awareness, safety considerations and risk management in the single pitch environment, as well as leave no trace principles and etiquette while climbing.
This skills training is geared towards intermediate climbers. It is recommended that you have climbed before and are familiar with the basics surrounding TR systems and belay techniques.
Please bring your climbing gear including a helmet, small backpack with any personal care items, layers for potential weather changes, water, lunch and snacks, and sunscreen. If you need to borrow any climbing gear, please reach out to Sam at sam@paradoxsports.org and he can hook you up!
This clinic will take place at East Colfax in Clear Creek Canyon on the west side of Tunnel 6. We will meet at the Gateway Trailhead Parking Lot at the mouth of the canyon around 8:30AM and caravan/carpool up to save parking space.
Rating - 4 (1 being the least accessible, 5 being the most accessible).
There is a short walk along the road, then down a few rock steps to a mostly flat trail. The base of some routes are on a hillside with loose rock.
