Paradox Sports has put together a comprehensive training program to welcome people with physical disabilities into the climbing community. Adaptive climbing courses include a mix of classroom education, open discussions and on-the-wall training and facilitation over a two day period with a focus on physical adaptation for climbing with paralysis, amputation, visual/hearing impairment, and neuromuscular disorders.
*This course is made possible with the help of Move United and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. This course is geared towards individuals and groups who provide programming for Veterans with disabilities.
The course will be hosted at an indoor rock climbing gym. Please bring your climbing harness, lunch, and snacks. Dress code is casual and should be suitable for on-the-wall learning. Paradox Sports provides a handbook with space to take notes.
