The Paradox Sports Adaptive Climbing Initiative seeks to make climbing accessible to all.
Paradox Sports will be hosting a community climbing program for facilitators and adaptive athletes. This program is designed to further develop technical skills and build self-sufficient rock climbers with an emphasis on Adaptive recreation skills for climbing.
Schedule
Day One:
8:45am-9am: Arrive at Staunton State Park to meet with Paradox Guides
9am-9:15am: Introductions and plan for the day.
9:15am - 11:30am: Introduction to adaptive climbing.
11:30am: Lunch at the Crag
12:00pm: Risk Management, Gear Information
12:30pm - 4:00pm: Mechanical Advantage systems and Climbing!
4:00pm: Wrap up for the day
Day Two (Community Climbing Day):
8:30am: Meet at Staunton State Park (Facilitators)
8:30am: Review systems and set up systems
9:00am - 12pm: Community Climbing Day
12pm : Lunch at the Crag- Climb and take off at your own pace
